They're not hard if you know the material but don't try to study/cheat on them, they're only made so they can assess which class to put you in so they don't put someone who barely understands algebra into calculus and don't put someone who is proficient at trig into algebra 1.

I thought it was pretty easy. It's broken down into 3 sections, the first being pretty basic math, the second being about geometry and some trig if I remember and the third being more algebra 2 and basic calculus. I didn't study and hadn't taken math for a year and still placed into the highest math I could. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
